Login troubleshooting
Work through these in order — the first two cover nearly every “invalid login” report.
- 1Check the spam, junk and promotions folders — verification and reset messages come from the default sender, so filters catch them more often than normal mail.
- 2Search your whole mailbox for “verification code” or “reset” rather than scrolling the inbox; Gmail and Outlook often file them under a category tab.
- 3Confirm the address you typed has no typo (gmial, .con, a missing dot) — a mistyped address means the email left but went nowhere you can read.
- 4Wait about a minute before requesting another message. Resend buttons are throttled for 60 seconds, and duplicate requests can invalidate the earlier code.
- 5Use only the newest email. Older codes and reset links stop working as soon as a new one is issued; reset links also expire after roughly an hour and work only once.
- 6Open the reset link in the same browser you requested it from; some mail apps preview links in an in-app browser that drops the session.
- 7Check the address is not blocking unknown senders — school and company mailboxes often quarantine automated mail. A personal address usually gets through.
- 8If nothing arrives after two attempts and ten minutes, contact us and we will verify the account manually.
